Burgess Electrical hold full accreditation as an NICEIC Approved Contractor and we are also registered with the building regulations for the NICEIC Domestic Installer scheme.

Being a member since 2001 has involved regular inspections of our work and registration with the building regulations scheme so our clients can be assured of consistent quality, safe and certified work at all times.

Part P scheme explained:

From 1st January 2005, Part P of the Building Regulations became a legal requirement.  Most Domestic electrical works which are carried out has to be registered with the Building Control department of your Local Authority.  As we are an Approved and Registered Domestic Installer, we will carry out the registration procedure ourselves.  The cost of this registration procedure is included within the works.  A certificate confirming that the work detailed complies with the Building Regulations for England and Wales will be sent to the client.  Once received, these should be kept with the NICEIC electrical certificates we will issue for the work carried out.  These certificates will confirm to any interested party/insurance company or potential buyer that the electrical work was carried out to the correct standards. These documents would also aide in the selling process of a property.

The work is also backed up by a six year warranty scheme, as required by Part P of the building regulations. This scheme will provide assurance that should it be identified that the installation work carried out is not in compliance with the Building Regulations, the work will be independently corrected to the required standard.  The warranty lasts for a period of six years and will provide cover for up to £25,000.  As we are an Approved and Registered Domestic Installer, we will carry out this registration procedure ourselves.  The cost of this registration procedure is included with all works
